Our records indicate that you are currently registered with Volunteer Connect as a volunteer and that we hold some information about you in our database.
We are writing to let you know that DEVELOP, the charity which currently holds your data, has merged its services with another charity called Community First. This is due to a cut in funding for the Volunteer Centre Wiltshire.
Volunteers like you make Wiltshire nicer place to live and we know that keeping Volunteer Connect running is vitally important for the local community. This is why DEVELOP has decided to transfer ownership of Volunteer Connect and its database to Community First so that we can continue providing support for volunteering in Wiltshire.
What does this mean for me?
In short it means that as of 12th January 2017 the information we hold about you including your name, email address, telephone number and any other information you supplied to us when you signed up to Volunteer Connect, will be owned and managed by Community First.
Whilst the ownership of the database is changing, the information we hold about you will remain in the same location and under the same security measures. Your data will not be compromised, moved or otherwise transferred. Similarly, the information we hold about you will not be shared with anyone outside of Community First.
What do I need to do?
If you are happy with what we have told you, then you are free to continue enjoying Volunteer Connect. You don’t need to respond to this email or write to us.
If you would like to withdraw your personal information from the Volunteer Connect database, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator Laura Naylor: lnaylor (at) communityfirst.org.uk
The Data Protection contact at Community First is Samantha Beale – she is responsible for ensuring that the information we hold about you in our database is kept confidential. If you have any questions or concerns, you can contact her by email: sbeale (at) communityfirst.org.uk or in writing:
